November 2011 imports of cotton is 37.8124 million tons, nearly double from a year earlier, a 50% increase over the previous month.
From January to November 2011, imports amounted to 2.57 million tons of cotton a year earlier, an increase of 8.3%. At present, China is the world's largest cotton production, consumption and imports.
